In the Eagle Mountain community of Fountain Hills, we have been fortunate to be hired by several homeowners to remodel their bathrooms and kitchens. We were hired to remodel this master bathroom after they saw our finished work in their neighbor’s home. Referrals like this really are the best compliment and we are always thrilled when we receive them.
This master bathroom had the typical builder-grade cabinets and cultured marble countertops that most homeowners are sick of. Nothing about this dated bathroom was appealing to these homeowners and they were ready to have some personality and style in their master bathroom. We gutted the entire bathroom and started over with all new bathroom fixtures, while keeping the original floorplan.
The homeowners were looking to create a relaxing and functional space with a neutral color palette. We started with the flooring; a beautiful 12×24″ natural stone travertine tile with very thin light grey grout. We installed white cabinets and quartz countertops. Above the vanity area, we installed 3 new mirrors with medicine cabinets and new lighting and plumbing fixtures in champagne bronze.
What really elevated this master bathroom remodel was the freestanding white soaking tub we installed in the corner. This change from the boring builder tub to the freestanding tub is an excellent upgrade. The tricky part of these freestanding tubs is finding a location to place the plumbing that is not only easy to access, but also out of the way. We solved this problem by building a custom built pedestal in the corner to house the tub plumbing.
The biggest change in this master bathroom remodel was the walk-in shower. The original shower was enclosed by an outdated glass block wall and took up more space than necessary that could be better utilized for storage. We downsized the shower and installed a custom-built deep linen cabinet to match the vanities. For the shower, we replaced the glass block with a beautiful and simple glass shower enclosure. The tile we installed along the shower walls was the large 12″x24″ charmagne calcutta gold. The veining on these tiles is so striking and interesting – definitely a talking point when showing off the bathroom to guests. The flooring of the shower is an organic soft grey pebble that contrasts nicely against the geometric lines of the rest of the bathroom.
This master bathroom remodel was quite the upgrade for these homeowners and definitely a proud moment for our team. The style, colors, and upgraded features make this bathroom a beautiful finished project for us to show off!
