We recently completed a total master bathroom remodel in Scottsdale, AZ. Like many homeowners without children, this gentleman did not need a bathtub. A better use of this space was an expanded shower area. Removing the large bathtub doubled the amount of space available for a lovely large master bathroom with a walk in shower.
Choosing Granitex solid surface for the shower reduced costs and future maintenance. The contemporary style was achieved by a simple vertical deco band. Because of the large space, we were able to install a single panel of glass instead of an operating shower door to further create his desire for a contemporary master bathroom walk in shower.
We completed the bathroom remodel by replacing the cabinets and countertops. The grey quartz countertops are modern and easy to maintain. The white shaker style cabinets have clean lines that give the whole bathroom an upgraded look.
Finally, we replaced the dated laminate wood flooring with new large square dark porcelain tiles to continue the clean lines and contemporary style desired by the homeowner.
Overall, this walk in shower bathroom remodel was a fantastic upgrade from the original outdated bathroom layout. Oftentimes people are discouraged from taking out a bathtub, but in my opinion if the space is not being used, then it’s much better to reevaluate your needs and have what best suits you.
