At Roadrunner we feel strongly about giving back to our community and it’s one of the pillars of our business model. The bulk of our community service is to the Four Peaks Rotary Club. We’ve been involved in this organization since 2001. Patrick has been in leadership for the Four Peaks Rotary Club for many years and has been the treasurer for the last 6 years. The motto of the Rotary Club is “Service above self & help others who cannot help themselves”.
The Rotary Club gives to local, national, and international causes. These causes are chosen based on need an low operational costs, making sure the majority of money raised goes directly to those who need it most.
Our local cause donates money monthly for our “teacher of the month program” to individual classrooms in the Fountain Hills School District. These donations help out with classroom programs and supplies.
Our national cause is supporting the Navajo Nation by donating money to The Navajo Water Project that’s digging wells to provide running water to low-income Navajo families. Their goal is to dig 80 wells for 80 families in northeastern Arizona.
Our main international cause is sponsoring an American funded orphanage in Hermosillo, Mexico. This orphanage is doing an amazing job taking in kids, sending them to school, clothing, and feeding them. Our other international cause is sponsoring an orphanage in Haiti with other Rotary Clubs across the United States.
To make these donations possible, Patrick, along with the other members of 4 Peaks Rotary donate their time to earn $10,000 by cleaning up and organizing trash at two Fountain Hills art fairs. The Club also organizes an annual charity golf tournament that raises approx. $20,000 every year. With one of the lowest operational costs for charitable organizations in the world, Rotary gives back more to their communities.
